Bruce Lyon Architect started his professional career in 1985 having graduated from UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design. Working while going to college he designed custom commercial kitchens, collaborating with a kitchen contractor, and used the proceeds to finance his education in Architecture. His Architectural business has successfully provided architectural services since his licensure in 1992. Bruce designed and built this web site displaying his work and that of his business partner Randolph Finn Architect. Bruce’s firm designs primarily custom residences and other projects include; office buildings, a Bicycle Retail store, automobile dismantling plant, multi-family residential and fully accessible assisted living Senior Care Facilities. Repeat clientele form the backbone of support for a company that successfully creates a design based on each client’s design vision. Bruce is personally involved in programming, design development, client contact and effectively presents projects during the public hearing process obtaining approvals, and then expedites them through the building permit process. Bruce participated in the Miracle Makeover 2006, a Dream Project for the Bay Area Crisis Nursery in Concord, California and he contributes to the community by leading an afterschool tutoring program that benefits a group of 20 high school aged students. Bruce collaborates with community leaders to provide community service opportunities for the group and encourages the students to continue their studies in College.
Lyon and Finn Architects continue to provide first class design services aimed at improving the community through healthy, sustainable, resource efficient, and economically productive development.
